It's all about glitters

Salaam, all.

Its Harvest Festival time in Sabah and Sarawak!

Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan (UNK) is synonym with the diversity of traditional attire adorned with sparkling sequins and various patterns, woven and exotic accessories. In this UNK edition, contestants are able to showcase the uniqueness of traditional attire representing their respective districts. Interestingly enough, besides traditional costume parade, contestants and their designer have the opportunity to showcase their traditional-oriented evening gowns.

Obviously, praise should be given to the creativity shown. By using traditional elements in accordance to their culture, the gowns are uniquely designed and can be commercialized internationally. Globally, the 'Fashion City' such as Milan, Tokyo, London, New York and other long-produce fashion houses has designed numerous dresses with its cultural influence. The way I see it – this year’s UNK serves as a very good platform to emphasize on local designers. They are so talented! Let’s continue the talk in the next chapter ya. Enjoy these photos :)

...and my favorite gown goes to:
Kota Kinabalu representative. Kudos to the designer!

So, tell me, which one is your favorite design?

Photo resource: David Aramaitii and David Chg. Thanks a lot for the permission, bro!

Sincerely yours.
